Hello Friends!
Last fall, my friend and fretless guitar legend, Ned Evett , moved to San Pedro CA, just across the bridge from me in Long Beach. We got together, and what began as a casual jam session erupted into one the most rewarding collaborations of my life. "Echolocator" , my third full-length album, was born.
Echolocation is a physiological process for locating distant or invisible objects by means of sound waves reflected back to the emitter by the objects. In this case, the objects were my dusty stash of four-track cassette demos, recorded in New York City in my younger daze. Rediscovering these songs, and that version of myself, was like travelling through time. And to share that journey with a force of nature like Ned was like splitting some musical atom. Ned pushed my voice and my songs to places I didn't know they could go.
I'm releasing the album in Boise because its a city full of people I adore. Over the course of four albums now, I've been blessed to work with two of Boise's most legendary musicians, songwriters and producers - Steve Fulton and Ned. I'm honored to say that they will both be sharing the stage with me on this special night. We will also be joined by Catherine Merrick of aka belle , and Lucas Ventura on drums.
We will be playing "Echolocator" in its entirety, in sequence with a few surprises.
